Freeze-frame lingerings
Of falling cottonwood leaf
Thlunking to the ground,
After feasting on dying-sun
Flavored twigs with
Brittle tchwongs and a tchump,
Surrendering a fragile body
Of past-living form, from
airy heights to solid ground,
bothers me - even
As it lulls my mind.
