And yearning, fueled by constant wanderings
Of Canada’s breadth, so articulate
Are your sensitive writings. Pondering

Upon your weighted words brings aching blight
Of humanities aged greed to plunder
Even scantiest resources in sight.
Yet, your presence belies evil’s thunder.

Voiced with pride and humor, your harbored mind
Defined all inner stories light. Showed us
Nature and Man are ever intertwined,
A sad lesson that needs repeating. Thus,

I stand small in your bright shadow, aware
Of your weeping. Your caring laid truths bare.
