Underneath...

I am just a structure of bones
Underneath a filler of organs
Enveloped by skin.
If I were not me, would I notice?
I am just layers of specialized flesh
Underneath a filigree of nerves
Of atomic selection.
If I were not me, would I notice?
I am just an endeavor of mind
Underneath a fantasy of worth
Enveloped by skin.
If I were not me, would I have noticed?
