The minds of poets are not so fine
As to mistreat ‘It’,
But, it’s been said the grape-of-wine
Does help to free ‘It’…
It’s been said the grape-of-wine
Does help to free ‘It’,
The minds of poets are not so fine
As to mistreat ‘It’…
The minds of poets are not so bound
As not to see ‘It’,
The poisons of Life must be eaten
To help to free ‘It’…
The poisons of Life must be eaten
To help to free ‘It',
The minds of poets are not so bound
As not to see ‘It’…
The minds of poets are not so fine
as to not see 'It',
The grape-of-wine must be eaten
To help to free ‘It'.

This form, I think is new. It sounds between a Villanelle and a Pantoum. It is not a Villanelle in rhythm and style, but sounds as one according to my files. This is not a “Pantoum” as one could call it, But it sounds as one as I hear it. So to give it a trade name, we could call it, “AMELLETOUM”.

Masterfully indeed!!

I do agree with what you have written here. Reminds of the old saying, "You must have lived the Blues to sing the Blues"
Thank you
