Haloed moon of sun-dog light, You swoon
Half-full, slightly-skewed, presenting life-night
Beauty in cosmic delight, earth-towards strewn.
I stare into an eye of God, polite,
Mesmerized, stunned and grateful for sky-high
Views. February Moon, in desert climes,
We welcome You! Spring springs eternal. Why?
Daffodils bloom in January... Rhymes,
Notwithstanding. Spheres command attraction,
Bestow blessings and detractions. You seem
Overtly huge in space, angel-graced. One
Such as You cannot concede self-esteem.
February Moon, You shiver, circled
In something’s nether. Rapt with Self, You call…

The imagery is crisp; verse, thought provoking, profound; I love this one. BRAVA!
My favorite line: "...I stare into an eye of God, polite....." WOW. I can't help staring, either. :)
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
