When spirit shrinks away from displayed name,
When soul hides in camouflaged pain,
When shadows gathered form a broken frame,
State of mind retains concepted disdain.
When hollow echoes dance with shades of gray,
When sorrow-blind becomes arcane by fate,
When swollen rivers drain from eyes displayed,
State of mind cannot abbreviate weight.
When shadows cover over distant age,
When soul’s pride lies broken on future played,
When spirit shrinks into a man-made cage,
State of mind parades its old masquerade.
When state of mind enfolds sad self-aimed hate,
Spirit shrinks its shadow onto a single page.
