Don’t talk to me, I’m not listening,
In the way you want. Don’t
Talk about family or
Advancement, however slowed.
Don’t talk to me… I’m Nothing,
In the way you want. Don’t
Talk about anything, or,
Contentment. However shown.
Don’t talk to me, I’m not listening
In the vault of today. Don’t
Walk with me, I’m not family.
Nor advancement. However sloughed.

This one hurts. Very well written...
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
I don't know who you wrote this about, but I can certainly relate to the tenor of the piece in light of my own family and the destruction that has forced everyone deep into their own microcosm.

Erin, I wish you the best. Sometimes we just need to break though the wall and accept our relatives.
I had troubles in accepting my parents when I was younger, when they made the standard of success so high for me, but little did I know was that they were building me up for my own future. Sometimes we hust have to accept them, and break that wall, one bit at a time...until we get to see them and recogize they mean well.
Good luck!
Love to you,
