Once I was a dinosaur,
And my footsteps
Shook the earth.
I wandered long
To find my home,
But, died before my birth.
Once I was a cypress,
And I clung
To Malta’s rock.
I listened hard
To hear my home,
But, my roots were too locked...
Once I was a template,
And magma
Was my tool.
I shifted plates
To feel my home,
But, too soon my mantle cooled.
Once I was a planet,
And outer war
shook my bones.
I turned my eyes
From my kind,
And, they left me all alone...

What is "I was" . . . the earth, the dreamer, the visionary, possibly visions of reincarnation?
Although immediately obvious, such a mystery in its entirety.
Well done!
