Ode to a Dusty Day’s Wind

Oh, Wind! Scatter not my hopes of rain-filled
Clouds - the particles you transport, beguiled
With miners dust, and, not the thrust of spill...
Oh, Wind, must I survive, again, your wiles?
It’s late June, my wind, when Monsoon-freed
Should begin, yet, you swoon with arid grins.
Time and again. Late June, my wind of greed,
Your friends, parlaying ‘has-beens’ with my spin...
Oh, wind of gusting, jousting sin! How worn
Can I be torn apart, within which departs,
As a whim? I wonder, anymore, cored
By eternity, if I’ll ever Art…
It’s late June, my wind, with deceptive wins.
Dust-devils seize me up … as I am twinned.

I completely agree with Aberjhani's review; yes! I felt the winds roaring through my soul as I read this dynamic piece; well done! My new favorite of yours.

Simply AMAZING write! I enjoyed this!
All your poems are very unique -
like wine, it should be drunk,
and tasted
slowly swallowed,
and digested.
Wonderful write, Erin!
