Fragile rain falls
On an Arizona morning
As if to ask for forgiveness
For rending forever-blue skies
Of heat-stoked desert heart
With Monsoon ferociousness.

Scented coolness flickers
Lazily back and forth,
Creating soothing patterns
Of fluid sound, calming,
For the moment, an arid soul
With Monsoon delicateness.

Green growth delivers
Versions of life reborn in gray
Flavorings of cloudy redress,
Proclaiming the past is futured
By hummingbird battles for now flowers,
With Monsoon precociousness.
