‘ …cannot see but in opposites…”
Maybe beauty isn’t always beautiful,
And ugliness, ugly. “Oh, yeah!” you’re
Saying, “tell us something new!”
Okay, let me think; not new, maybe,
But, eclipsed by Life.
I’ve got it! Does anybody really
Think that fur clothing from an alive being
Hides their own spots?
Does anybody really think ‘old politics’,
or ‘religions’, should be future factors
To new knowledge learned?
Does anybody really think
God-damns birth can survive
The handprints of Time?
Maybe beauty is much simpler than the Whole,
And ugliness really isn’t. Yes, that’s
What I’m saying.

I especially love the first stanza. BRAVA!
The eyes, though, can become quite prejudiced through personal experience, especially negative personal experience. Often this kind of programming can decieve one into thinking that what they see is inclusive and the final word.
Sadly sometimes all we see is a reflection of our own wounds.
