If I Were Small

If I were small,
Would I look to largeness
To guide me?
If I were big,
Would I not care at all
About smallness?
If I were weak,
Would I try, or die, because
Of involvement?
If I were strong,
Would I die, inside, because
Of denouement?
If I were Void,
Would I look to Space
To fill me?
If I were All,
Would I even care of largeness,
And smallness?
If I were big,
Would I look to smallness
To guide me?
If I were small,
Would I not care at all
About largeness?
If I were strong,
Would I lie, inside, because
Of dissolvements?
If I were weak,
Would I die, or try, because
Of pronouncements?
If I were All,
Would I even care of smallness,
And largeness?
If I were Void,
Would I look to God
To fill me?

You penned it well.
Difficult answers that tear at the reader
A close-to-the-heart poem that brings out a self-examination
If I'm not being filled . . . . .
Then I must be leaking somewhere!
Will I find?
If I do. . . .
Then will I repair?
Yes, with God's love and care.
