Poignant and moving, this reminds me of Karen (twin sis) lying on a hospital bed of pain..........she lost so much weight, she was nearly a stick figure, and the numerous blood draws and IV sticks made the sheets turn red. Well done!

I don't know of what you write here, Erin, but it brings tears to my eyes and heart. Poetry is not always knowing what a write is about, but how it makes one feel.
