Concierge

Madame Cat, do you want out, again? Do
You insist on repeating your foolish
Wanderings into bad weather? Must you
Forever fugue the consciousness of this
Porter’s life? Times six? Though, some are Monsieurs,
Relativity remains the same, per-
Spective-wise. My feckless mind reassures
Less than Nothing. I am Concierge, per
Ward’s agreement, agreed upon without
Informed consent… What the hell, it’s a job.
Madame... Life... confirmed within four walls, tout-
Ing always unfairness of Catdom, bobbed.
Concierge, I see you’ve gained composure,
Just in time to open doors for the pure.

Love the poem. After all it is a job.
