Ugly Ego, Beautiful Id

Ugly Ego, reared inside, bares its teeth,
Recognized, slipping slyly past blind eyes.
Beautiful Id, girths its smile, slow-released,
Perceived-wise, skipping softly…
Fetid Ego, trapped inside, fangs its teeth,
Petrified, slipping slowly past old eyes.
Natural Id, earths its smile, time-released,
Vision-wise, slipping softly…
Dying Ego, wails inside, blunts its teeth,
Agonized, skipping swiftly past new eyes.
Cosmical Id, births its smile, death-released,
Freedom-wise, weeping softly…

Regret? Perhaps...having lived, yet not lived...sad. Excellent, thought provoking excellence!

This is remarkable in composition, and good enough for "in sight" storage. Tank you for sharing such thinking. - Bill
Excellent poem. You manage to take me through life in three verses.
