We all have
Our ups and downs,
Through seasons moons.
I’ve been around long enough
To appreciate fractions
Of the whole.
When I was young,
I lived my relatives
Relativeness, before
Anyone really thought
To know what that meant.
How lucky was I…
Cast by younger climates
Of hope, sterilized by Mickey Mouse,
I’ve settled into lived life.
“Shick-shuck. Boom!”
“Shick-shuck." Boom.
Shick-shuck. Boom…
Was that a gun?
Am I dead?
Who’s to blame?
Me? After all?
Shick-shuck... Boom.

our world and what it's become.
Perhaps always was? just more of us
now. Not a sure answer for that.
Dark images of war came vividly to mind as I read this auditory poem. Excellently penned, a nightmare come to life.
