from an expensive suit?
from the work of a life?
or a magicians sleeve?

fine wine trapped in glass?
with an expensive price?
distilled by evil?
or honesty�s hand?

fine death of millions?
from expensive hate?
in the world of How?
and Wars embrace?

fine wool wrapped with silk?
from a place far away?
from the wizard-god's sleeve?
or a worked-over race?

Your are so right, Erin, most things are not as they seem or perhaps it is that we all have invested in rose-colored glasses so that we don't notice the deceptions. Great job!

Like Karla said, this is a thinking piece; it makes you want to ponder and gain perspective on what remains just barely out of reach. Methinks the answers are not good. Nice work on this one, Erin.

I don't know why you don't get the reviews; you are an excellent craftsman of the written word; you just don't write, you stimulate the ole brain cells to move, to think, to enjoy poetry as it is meant to be.

There is an undercurrent of the mysterious in this, to delve in deep and see what's beneath the surface. Glad I took the dive. :) Excellent.
