I ‘Hate’ Valentine’s Day

I've always felt the 'day' was contrived,
like a religion, to promote, not just love,
but all its mutated compounded components…
Weren't love-days more freely given
when they had no name?
Whatever love is, it fades with time.
Beginning, Middle, End. I'm reminded of Doc,
and his forward sight, shared with the women of his life.
Maybe some love doesn't fade, if kept in perspective.
When a time is assigned, it uncreates flexibility.
Or, love. Like a day.

Bah HUMbugs! LOL Hear you - one day isn't going to make up for a year of abuse - yesterday, in my apartment complex, two couples got into huge screaming matches - on the 'day' of love. Sad -
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
I agree with you there. A box of chocolates, a bouquet of flowers or a diamond necklace isn't going to change the feelings of a person towards you if it was never there in the first place. I know someone who takes such gifts as a profession of guilt. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
