Once again, sweet violets white! Your
Appearance in January thrills me!
Oh, Arizona! Continue your season!
Rush with unreason, fling open warm
Arms of southern exposure!
Blooms I’ve had in winter’s wrap,
Old-timers of tilted, wilting worth,
My friends of year(s) before, but,
Your fresh breath of pure gaiety
Blushes me on a chilly morn…
Sweet violets white! Once again, your
Buds of first alert eluded my vision!
Days of turning swiftly whisked
My sight away... Sweet violets white!
Kiss me with your petals of life!
Once again…
