Dot, or, Daught?

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Maybe past has passed
Through language, but,
I have not, passion-wise.

I am a psychoticall
Study of myself,
Humanity-guarded,

I know what I mean,
It isn’t physical, it’s..
Developmental!

Oh, man, not this, again,
Responsibility!? But, what
It syllables, separates.

Maybe passed has past,
Maybe nought. Maybe, but,
I’m still aging, otherwise.

"I know what I mean.."

When I read the above line, it echoed immediately in my thoughts with this interpretation: I know the meaning of my being; and the meaning of my being here. It struck me as one of the most powerful realizations that any individual--poet or pauper or genius or idiot--could ever hope to realize. Much gratitude for the shared notes from your ongoing journey.

Love the way you play with language and the mind, Erin. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
