What If Religions Were Flowers?

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Friday, April 17, 2009

Maybe all of us,
With questionable characters,
Were thrown upon a planet,
Humanized.

What if each
Religion became a certain flower.
What if we plucked flowers
From all thoughts, to create
A bouquet?

What would you think
Of that?

Good idea, Erin, well said--but I'd add a few weeds
to give it strength and endurance. -gene.

Let only wildflowers adorn this boquet,
Let it rise in field of color fission,
Each petal bending sunlight its own way,
If truth and beauty be highest mission.

Love and {{{{{hugs}}}}},

May all the blossoms burst forth as a colorful sign of God's love....

Beautifully penned, Erin, problem is there are weeds amongst the blooms - which to discard? Thought provoking, once more - well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, karla.
