September Moon 2

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

September Moon! You peek-a-boo, seems like
Same old days. Whatever, you! Seasons bleed
With diffusions gift, or, mutants. Seems like
Old times ago. God, I hate this! Like blood.

Moon too stoned to think ahead, yay to you.
I think details cloud judgement. I still think
I’m starred to your lower, right? Without clue?
Refreshed, my sight, thank you. I wonder what

that lesson was? You know? It seems to me
I should retire, in a communicable
Way, I mean. I don’t think comfort zones e
Xist, anymore. In a world preamble,

Moons are calendars. So what? I see pain
Everafter. See old moons loom. See panes…

Erin your poems often need to be read a time or two to absorb and savor the thoughts, emotions and messages that are sometimes buried there. This one is no exception...I read it three times and with each reading I found someting new to ponder...like the first line second verse, first and second lines of third verse and the ending lines are all ponderables...great job

I adore this write, Erin, I adore it! The rhyming! The wordplay! The imagery you create is fantastic! Well done! My new favorite of yours - dark, brooding, yet shines with inner intelligence and Life -
