I Contribute

I contribute...
to pollution’s smoggy attitude,
the creature’s virulent life,
time’s years of by-products,
are engrained into my skin,
engraved, into my brain,
and are killing me, slowly.
I contribute...
to compassion’s lofty lessons,
humanity’s saving grace,
past’s teachings still alive,
and shown to my fellows,
taught to my children,
keeping my "self" alive.
I contribute...
to waste’s mountainous ruins,
earth’s groaning burden,
to nation’s consuming greed,
the legacy of progress,
of a throw-away society,
a deep source of shame.
I contribute...
to mankind’s search for change,
world’s greatest chance,
for preserving human fortitude,
strengthening the evolvement
of the spiral of life
and planet’s cosmic home.

Ha, okay, sprituality isn't exactly my normal view, but there is guilt, aplenty, so much so as to go around...and come back around, to bite my self in the butt...
