Refractory Reflections
by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen
I see contradictions
cracked reflections
truthful pain
I see that
love abides hate
hate abhors love and
sometimes
pain hurts less
than knowledge
I see
children who could
be saved
by absent parent’s care
and food
and
war-ripped lands of
murderous fiends
have innocent lives
lost to us
I see...me us you
here safe and sassy and
less rich in spirit
as refractory reflections
steal away our dreams
of peace on earth
goodwill to men...
Cracked.

vision of tomorrow...excellent fit to my thoughts, but I couldn't find the words.
