Chantilly Ceilings

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Chantilly cast ceilings
pressure patterns
in isometric incorporation,
waxily waging war,
my mind melts...

Upon undulation,
crevasses cut
introspection’s idealic innocence,
twining the twisting thoughts,
my mind meets...

Crystalline clarity
precedes promise
into illicit imagination,
with wonderful words wrought,
my mind mends.

Not sure what this is, the phrase, "Chantilly ceilings", entered my mind, and wouldn't go away!! :)

I love architecture - I build places in 3d -
chantilly ceilings do exist - exquisite in detail, white on white... lovely image for me.

sometimes the ceiling appears to be soft, other times we can see through the cracks in it... very good poem!

Now THIS is nice. My interpretation (and I'm usually wrong) from the last stanza is: lying in bed seeing shadows through chantilly lace. My first thought when I saw the title was perfume. That I know is wrong.
