Push and Pull

The whooshing haste of winds caress
and skittering of rains finesse
abruptly touch her thin-skinned nerves
pronunciating world's wide curves.
The sameness of the moon's light-glow
upon the souls that live below
means unfair tides that push and pull,
nothing is ever apropos.
The rushing sounds of unsung war
are screeching loud at country's door,
the pleading cries of righteous folk
are smothered in our freedom's yoke.
