Message to My Daughters (Dreamweaver's Challenge)

Two multi-colored spirits of feminine nature,
entered my life with a bang, and I was afraid,
scared of the life-long commitment
that I had made, unworthy
of what beauty I was sent, feeling
my own mind was too heavily weighed,
too immature...
As we muddled through the early years, my dears,
joy and wonderment filled me, as you played,
and I began my task of teaching,
values arrayed, unfolded,
with your father’s reaching, seeing
your minds take up the crusade,
allaying my fears...
I give my gift of human compassion, my girls,
tolerance and respect, which will never fade,
and the worth of life-long commitment
to nature’s parade, inclusive
of everything heavenly-sent, knowing,
though my body’s decayed,
forever my love unfurls.
