Where is my place in life?
It seems to shift,
and hide,
running away
as if
it doesn't want me.
Where is my passion in life?
Short-lived spurts come
and go, leaving me
feeling
unfulfilled.
Where are my dreams of life?
Blanketed by smothering
reality,
peeking out to
mock me,
with loss.
Where is my stability of mind?
Ebbing and flowing,
twisting
and turning,
sinking...
I am the jury,
the judge, the
prisoner, and
the wayward warden.
Where is my place in life?

As an individual human person you definitely have your place. But its realisation requires that sociality permeates us more than it is presently the case. In fact the historical social pendulum need to swing more to the centre. Presently, individuality has preponderated over social cohesion, thus heightening the sense of loss for the individual human person. It is partly for this reason that those of us living in predominantly rural societies wonder the wisdom of our governments to madly cry for industrialisation, notwithstanding the modern economic imperatives.

where you are at this moment ... THIS IS ERIN NOW!! It will change as you change ... emotionally, physically, mentally, materially. Example ... my writing songs is an attempt to change my place in life. Success commercially will change my place in
life. (Monetarily, environmentally, etc.) New home, new car, new environment. And my daily selections will also change, different place, different people, different problems. OR I WILL STAY EXACTLY AS I AM IN TIME AND SPACE ... WRITING AND WRITING AND DOING THE SAME THINGS EVERYDAY TILL I DIE. So will my attempts to change my life through what I do on a day to day basis shift me to a different place in time and space, or shall I always be in one stationary place in life????? Bill Murray
