To No Avail

Gathering up
the disappearing strands,
in fistfuls of gossamer,
sensing a uselessness,
missing the passion,
she awaits muse's...
enlightenment, to
dazzle her eyes,
fire her center,
thrill her core,
send her into
mind-transcending poetic nirvana...
to no avail.
She is muted.
Changed
by a little death
of her soul.
