Can't Go Boating...

Limp shadows drape the windows,
luminously edged with light,
(no need for light,
eye's are wide-shut,
mind flattened,
by heartbeat's tolling,
and compressed time's rolling,
voided by self,
again)
as damp fears fall on battered roof,
invasively drowning life.
(no need to swim,
bindings are water-tight,
life-vest leaking
no use in floating,
can't see going boating,
nay-sayed by self,
again)
