A flush of resurgence shows overnight...
Pussywillows
with the softness of cat-belly fur,
branch tips and buds
swelled to bursting,
birthing catkins, and the
miniature shapes
of wind-loving leaves...
Restless stretchings and liftings,
impatient thrusting of Life,
aware of it's future verdancy,
it's bee-matings
and seed-settings...
Stirrings of nuclei,
then the gentle tip-thrust
of rooted strength below...
Unseen life's sap
sends it's energy forth,
blades shoot upward
rolled-up tints of green
unfurl with a shiver
folded velvet,
and gender's origin,
straighten and plump,
as the crinkles of genesis,
gratefully ease away
from flower's banner-life...

may YOU continue to bloom and spread your words for us+++

beautiful.

Thank you for your kind words, I will indeed take them as a high compliment. :)

"sight" you wrote about!!! I saw pussy willows all through my childhood!! :D Makes me wonder, what is your sign of spring? Oh, wait, is that a misnomer? Heeheehee... All ya, in such different places? Here, in Arizona, USA, it is daffodils, I have 12 feet of fence line blooming, next will be tulips, blue bells and, from the minute daffodil grass to the much larger, bolder trumpets of the larger genus...all by the end of February! Oh, and I have a rosebush blooming, Don Juan, as well as verbana, an old, old geranium and salvia! Also have flocks of robins that, in Wisconsin, we wouldn't see until April or May. :) I love AZ in the winter! ;)
