Falling Off The Page

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Thursday, February 27, 2003

As I read my Life's history,
inner pain begins,
regrets and mistakes,
red-lined onto pages,
crumbling
in the wind.

As I feel my Life's history,
potential starts to ache,
laziness and apathy,
bled between the lines,
fading
colorless fakes.

As I take in my Life's history,
few battles have been waged,
unfulfilled and empty,
dead before my ending,
falling
off the page...

A lot of lives are like this...and it is so sad. Each day the sun comes up, one should have plans, and make plans for the morrow.

Well written. Enjoyed it.
