She wonders
about blue.
Blue
is deemed
smoothly cool,
but she sees
fiery confusion
when she sees the blue
in her mind. Reaching blue flames
overflowing the core
and racing to consume
her red water reservoir of
life. Smoldering blue of dismal
dispiritedness. Burning blue
of anguished self-hate. Scorching blue
of sorrowful despondency. Blue hues, tints
and blue shades color
her view of
herself.
She wonders
how others
see blue.
