Destruction De Facto

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Tuesday, April 8, 2003

Collared by righteous enthusiasm,
delivered into mind,
comes the wartime visions wrought
by seemingly arbitrary kinds.

Punched into less enthusiasm,
quivering like the blind,
comes the armless conquests sought
by seekingly arbitrary minds.

Redeemed by lost enthusiasm,
lesson learning tossed aside,
comes the universe now bought,
by searchingly arbitrary blinds.

WOW ... this was powerful. Simple, yet profound. And this format to me is amazing ... the subtle changes in the first and last lines throughout. I'm gonna have to try this somtime ... I really like it! ~Joseph

Erin,

Power in your words.
