Tenuous Connections

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Monday, May 5, 2003

"Silly soul!", she muses,

as once again, time clicks,
and ticks, and slips away,
ungracefully shuffling
her fleeting fate, removing
and dragging pieces
of her life into oblivion,
crackling her mind,
and ripping threads
from her heart,
knotting and snarling painfully
as cyber friends
drop from sight.
Understanding,
unwillingly,
the forces of dawns,
reality checks, and
flowers...wilting,
she feels..faded,
less than complete,
missing in non-action,
and melancholy-mooded,
sifting and shifting
through mind's
memory doors, opening
laughter and tears,
screams of despair,
brooding madness echoing
into the night and
colored dreams of
beautiful souls
shared lives, thankful, yet,
yearning for
the tenuous connection
of doors
who's keys are...lost.

"Silly soul", she weeps.

Oh Erin,
This is...It says so much, for so many! I have met some of my closest friends on-line, and I wouldn't trade them for anything!
Bravo My Friend for penning such a heart-tugger!

A lovely poem, little lady. The dynamics of every day bring us closer to what we will eventually be and appreciate.

This was written at my Poetry site last November, after having been there less than a year, many people had gone on to...otherwhere. We had so much fun over the summer, joking and writing and learning from each other. It applies here, also. Looking back at my reviews from last fall, I see names of people who no longer post who I miss. As I was dissertating in Ted's piece, Dynamics cause many lost connections, it's part of Life, meetings and partings, things cannot stay the same, the motive forces, physical or moral, affecting behaviour and change in any sphere are always affecting our lives, regardless of how, sometimes, we don't want things to change. I cherish the time I've had with the people I've met, and lost. Thank you for your presence in my life, my friends. :)

Hi Erin, I think I have been the person responsible for all the disharmoney here. If I would keep my anger in check. No problems for anyone. IMHO.
Your writing is always done in good purpose. Be Well Ms.Arizona.
