Shortened blinking
...time lapses.

Short story thinking
...time passes.

Synapses linking
...time waxes.

Started my first short story yesterday. In 24 hours, I've got 410 words in 11 paragraphs... :D Tentative title: Wood Tick Nightmare. Needed to "unbog" my mind with a quick rhyme!

Yep...been there..done that...I also move back and forth from verse to fiction, when I feel the creative wheels bogging....Good job here.

Dear erin - I only have a single short story to my credit(Kary grant proposal). My mind always slips to reduce and condense when I attempt novels and stories-skips by the artistic-hard to keep a theme or train of thought in mind from finished product.(think to produce an epic like Dr. chivago) my
problem is how much of my life and experience is important verses an entire contrived picture painting from my perception of a master grand winning art work-never goes very far. Have though learned to be relaxed patient,of myself.-what I produce is what I produce-not really that important-hyperness itself, worry over it-is self defeating counter productive-there really is a time for everything-unless you find too much of it gone no where.
Of all your poetry the piece (and outstanding also) is of the unvisited home.
I do think a complete change of scenery help myself-there is something constant and oppressive in the air around. Marvin
