Twinkle, thinkle Story Star…

Begin, and
one, two, three, write for me…

Got a story taking up space,
mean to write it, now’s the place.

‘Once upon a daylight balmy,
ticks attacked
creating panic, nerves
were frayed, car got stuck,
can’t believe I lived through such.’

Give it dialog, give it action,
describe the scene
and fright’s reaction.
Watch the adverbs,
keep plot straight,
add some humor,
pick up pace.

‘Once upon a daylight balmy,
ferocious wood ticks
caused great panic.
“Wood tick on you!”
rings through the air.
Screams and shivers,
disgusted quivers.
Fleeing scene
with ticks unseen,
hitch and hide
on jean legs ride.
Appear in car,
screaming more,
road turned to mud
and stuck them far...
far from city, far from help,
how the heck
will they get out?’

My short story is going well, now up to 41 paragraphs and with, to me the hardest thing, actual dialog! :) Having fun, had my family and some friends read what I have so far, they like it!!
