Good form. The poem sort of juts and struts, but poses some fine introverted speculation.

An excellent write with some interesting questions?

Independent reality is out there always out of reach. It seems to me that all we have are abstractions of this reality. I think it's largely a matter of taste how close to the objects of the senses one comes. Personally I like a lot of variety. One minute I'll get off on feeling removed from the world a la Descarte and the next I'll enjoy being close to the surface though the latter is not always easy to achieve after a long stretch of the former. That's when it can get scary. But how close can we come to 'reality'? We're always thinking about the information coming in. How raw can experience truly get? Maybe when we die we get to experience everything without any buffers.
What might that be like? Oh well. Great thinking piece.

:) I'd rather keep it on, Justin. I know people see and think differently, perhaps as I've written this it seems I am declaring there are no in-betweens, there are millions. No offense taken, logic is imperative to life, just not all aspects. Poetry comes in many forms, some logical with a finalized ending, others abstract with no end in sight. The thrill is to get people to think, feel, react, weep, run all the gamuts of human emotion. And a person's poetry IS that person. Peace, Justin.

Erin, as always, you have penned a bit of a thinking mans philosophy here, something that, with regards the first paragraph, I have done for my whole life...I find reason to disagree with any logical reservations that JUSTIN has below, because I feel that all writing/poetry/stories are part of the writer herself/himself. Each of us has to write what they feel, logic and emotion,

There are those of us to whom if they see a bend in the road don't think of slowing down, because the bend is only a straight road with detours. I don't think that made any sense. It did when I was writing it. Maybe it does at that. I liked your poem.
