Baby's Fright

Babies bright,
blue-eyed mites,
all parents see your beauty.
Innocence, most precious gift,
soon becomes a hurdle.
'Babies' light
fades at night,
some adults beget this loss.
Explicitness, brings no bliss,
causing blood to puddle.
"Baby's" fright
collapsed in blight,
vision marred by hardened hand.
Experience, imprisoned id,
a being’s soul has curdled.

Excellent poem.
hardened hand...id will never be known?
Take care Erin......
direction. I felt the joy of new life and the heartbreak
of new life broken.
Very effective.
