John Ritter Has Died

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Thursday, October 23, 2003

Tonight I heard
from very young lips
a plea we see in daily events,
“Drop him, now,” she proclaimed
to heaven’s height,
she wanted Daddy back
in her sight,
“Drop him now!”
she exclaimed,
arms raised up high.
“Drop him now!” I wept,
John Ritter has died.

I miss him also. I watch Three's company every night.
Sort of a ritual in the house.

Erin, the pain is easily understood and seen. I love the way you worded this and asked god to drop him back to life...Peace, ED
