Bound II

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

In honor of my sister-in-law, Fran. She is alive, in pain, is my brother's light and is losing her life, tonight, under the same moon that shines on us all with its beauty. May Fran's beauty, her suffering and pain, and that of all the loved ones we've lost by being bound in human flesh, ever shine on the lives of the ones who are left behind, if it is possible.

Bound by cancer,
bound by cells,
bound by pain
of boundless hells.

Bound to die
and not awake,
bound to know
no more todays.

Bound to feel, bound to live,
bound to wonder what the hell gives.

Bound to leave,
to say goodbyes,
bound to weep
as spirit flies.

Bound by tears,
and anguished fears,
bound to be left
to face the years.

Bound to live, bound to die,
bound to wonder what the hell gives…

I am sorry for your loss. Know that she is in a better place.
We all go through pain and sufferring for a reason. I have met the higher "entity" to knoe that. It is a long story. Email me at Becca.authorsden.com and we can talk,ok? I hope I can help ease your pain a little with my story.

Sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Death cannot take away your previous life experiences and joy that you and your sister shared! What a gift it is to have known and loved certain people! How important it is to appreciate and express affection to those persons while they are alive and with us. Bound ll is a very heartfelt, well done poem, Erin!

BOUND 2 be another beautiful write by a master of poetry...
This one made me cry, as my dad was lost to cancer many years ago. He knew it, but no one else did till after his death...not sure if that was bravery or cowardice, but I love him anyway. Thank you for another great one, Erin, Peace, ED & Rufuz

Lost my grandmother to cancer, and my very best friend. I know about cancer. But painful as it is for us who are left to mourn, we must think about her freedom. No more pain. Life and death are a mystery, I'll never quite understand -- so be strong, I'll keep you in my prayer.

Love,
Carmen

Love never dies. It just grows more beautifully as it is shared. You have, and it has, Erin.

I am sorry for your loss, and hold you in my prayers.

You touch on one of the most puzzling mysteries of "life" in this realm. I wish I had an answer. Touching expression here. I send you love, strength and peace.

Lost two brothers, and 3 nieces...two of the nieces one had 2 boys was only 42...we all lived to gether for a couple years...the other was 46 and had 7 children. I know this beast called cancer. You can well ask what the hell gives. I do often. But then I pray too because I know He gives, comfort, peace and life everlasting.I have 7 people on my prayer boards right now, families waiting.

Loosing someone to Cancer will bring many questions to our minds. (lost my stepfather and ex mother-in-law to this.) I pray for you, your family, and your sister-in-law.

An extremely well crafted write.
