Sun-Silver Bled

by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen — Read all 1,670 poems by Erin Elizabeth Kelly-Moen

Friday, November 14, 2003

In memory of Fran Kelly,
my sister-in-law,
heart of my brother.

*******************

White fiery blooms
of chrysanthemum
aspired to become
your bed of peace.

Bled far from sun,
light of life rains,
sad song’s refrain,
became caprice.

From white-fire heart
red mum departs,
abstracted art,
on wings of fleece.

Sun-silver bled
your colored threads,
soul-spirit fled
piece after piece.

An excellent tribute to your sister in law, Erin. She can't thank you, but I know she is doing so anyway...take care of your brother & his family, that is more thanks than can be spoken or written...Peace, Ed & Rufuz

A fine tribute to your loved one Erin. "It is a frightening thing to love what death can touch." This was found on an unmark headstone of an old cemetary an author walked through once.
