Soft

Soft fluffy flakes fall
slowly, winging on stillness
of winsome weather.

Sleet

Driving pellets buzz,
needling with ice-stinging
slithery fury.

Fairy Castle

Ice, dropped on pine, coats
time. Rising sun-dazzle on
eyed fairy castle.

Bird-Children

Metallic flash flies,
sparkle of eye, bird-children
head for hot chocolate.

Cat Tracks

Whitened dead-grass field,
criss-crossed with cat tracks, followed
in fascination.

Cold

Shocking, cruelly
insipid air, fragile, breaks,
artistically iced.
