It’s starting
the falling
in slow motion
mind cringes
reading binges
people’s stories
pain and horror
rape my mind-life
tears flowing
human madness
flaunting actions
spirits murdered
bodies ravaged
minds are crippled
each thought enters
producing offspring
creating visuals
and residuals
spewing black clouds
drowning heart’s beat
freezing blood’s heat
crushing living
a reality stop-gape
seeing evil
is in Mankind.
Sun has set.

Some poetry friends and I are putting together and publishing a good friend of ours memoirs. I wrote of her in "Black Bird...Fly". The reading and rereading of another's horror and pain twists and turns in a mind...
Loved the piece. Congratulations on the publication!
