*secrets*

Don't let her catch me catch your eye,
or find out what we did last night.
It won't hurt if she never knows,
what we did in the shadows.

Don't let her see the lipstick stains,
or find my things left at your place.
What harm would come, if noone knew?
It's only me and you.

Don't let her hear you say those words,
or find out I still wear your shirt
in bed each night, she'll never know,
we still love- in the shadows.

Don't let her know you'll soon be mine,
my dark and hidden valentine,
just have some fun, and play the part,
and you won't break her heart.

Well. I don't know. Really I don't. I don't think we get away with anything. But I like the honesty of the sharing in this. Thank you, Charlotte. Love and peace to you. Regis

it is hard not to comment on the topic...as a poem
the flow is tight!!!
and on the subject coming from a woman whos been on both ends
there are no winners in this....
enjoyed!!!

With all due respect, this poem is potentially fictional, and all I ask is your criticism of this as a poem, not as a topic, or as a reflection on me.

Oh the woman knows far sooner than most men or the other woman realizes. Sometimes though it takes awhile for the other woman to realize something too. That he has not stopped having sex with the other one.

Perhaps she knows that already, and you are the one who's going to be getting hurt at the end.
