They tell me that it’s over,
That we should just be friends,
But now it seems it’s just too hard,
How can this be the end?
I watched for a moment,
You looked at me and smiled,
And there was something beautiful
About you, in that while.
Your eyes were so forgiving,
As if you loved me still,
I smiled right back but understood
That phrase, that looks can kill.
I felt like I was dying,
Just in your smiling gaze,
As if my life was empty
without you in my days.

Such depth of emotion, beautifully expressed. Try to recall all the good memories and let your beautiful smile wipe away the bad times
