So Am I
If I can love you this damn much,
Without return or softened touch,
Then what could stop this heart of mine,
From turning inward, claiming time.
If I could give without a name,
No promise made, no one to blame,
Then surely I, can stand and see,
That I deserve as much from me.
I don’t need proof or some excuse,
To stop this cycle of self abuse,
If you were worth each aching breath,
Then so am I, in life or death.
So let me turn the tide inside,
Not to escape but to reside.
And if I love with no clear cause,
Then I can love without a pause.
