Crossline Moment
You’ll know when the silence feels stronger than sound,
When stillness says more than the talk going round,
It calls you to stand where no one can show,
And builds you from places no blueprint can know.
It sharpens in tension, it rises in doubt,
It speaks when the lights have mostly gone out,
It starts in the silence between what you say,
A shift in direction without a display.
Something inside you withdraws from pretense,
And breaks up the pattern that stopped making sense,
You glance toward the noise, but turn from the crowd,
Because something unspoken is suddenly loud.
No proof in your pocket, no echo to find,
But still there’s a rightness that settles your mind,
Not louder, just deeper, not sharper, but true ,
A shape that the world can’t distort out of you.
