Ciphers
You met like a match in a forest of snow,
He melted your edge, but was gone with the glow,
You offered a fire he couldn’t sustain,
It flickered, then folded, too tender for flame.
He left you a riddle, that taught you to grow,
A bruise in your chest, that maps where to go,
It pushes you forward, you learn how to steer,
He was the mirror that came here to clear.
Some come as a ciphers, not built to remain,
They sharpen your silence, that carves you from pain,
Perhaps his presence was never the goal,
But only to trigger the rise of your soul.
