The Art Of Exit
Note to self
To master the exit is a powerful art,
Do yourself a favor, and learn when to depart,
Don’t run back to houses that shattered your core,
A trauma called home isn’t shelter anymore.
Not every silence a signal to try,
And not every question is worth your reply,
When frequencies fade, let the static be gone,
Change to a station where truth carries on.
You’re never a puzzle for someone to solve,
You’re mirrors that show what’s yet to evolve,
They’ll honor the image, or twist it away,
When distortion persists, it’s your signal to stray.
So walk when they falter, walk when they betray,
Not bitter, not spiteful, just stronger in a way,
No anger required, no weakness to mend,
Walking in your power is beginning, not the end.
